For now, we’ll go back to last Monday and Tuesday. Monday was another day with strange weather. I spent time doing laundry, uploading pictures and editing. After Marco got out of school, I joined Amy at her house in Biassa, a small village just 10 minutes away. It is quieter than Riomaggiore because it’s not a tourist destination. Her house overlooks the harbor of La Spezia, just spectacular views.
Since I haven’t had an oven, Amy was letting me come bake some things. With my food restrictions, I had brought some foods that I could make some baked goods to make life a little easier. I hadn’t really thought about not having an oven though. ;) So, I spent the evening making almond flour banana muffins and coconut butter bread while hanging with Amy and Marco. I was also able to watch a condensed version of the Pats game which was pretty cool. Amy’s husband Francesco, a big American Football fan, has NFL Game pass and he downloaded it for me. After, I stayed for a beautiful dinner Amy prepared of grilled veggies, a hamburger, some delicious cheese and tomato salad. It was a nice way to end a rainy day.
Ciao for now!
